Woman of the IIIrd millennium
The prizes Zhinka III tysyacholittya — Woman of the 3rd Millennium, are awarded to women for their achievements in various spheres of endeavor — politics, business and culture.
This year, Zhinka III tysyacholittya prizes were awarded for the third time. These prizes were instituted by an international public organization, Woman of the 3rd Millennium, among whose priorities is the revival of Ukrainian national culture, development of the arts, child health protection, philanthropy, education and development of woman’s personality.
This year Zhinka III tysyacholittya prizewinners are bright personalities who are pride and beauty of Ukraine and of other countries of the world, women who are loving wives and mothers.
The ceremony of awarding the prizes was held at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv. The prizes were handed to the winners by well-known political, public and culture figures of Ukraine.
The prizes were awarded in three nominations. The winners in the nomination Znakovi postati III tysyacholittya (Important Figures of the 3rd Millennium) were Tetyana Kornyakova, deputy Procurator General of Ukraine; Kateryna Amosova, head of a department of the National Bohomolets Medical University; Oksana Bilozir, a singer and MP; Vira Ulyanchenko, head of the Kyiv Oblast Administration, and Tetyana Korost, head of the Agrofirma Mayak Company from Poltava Oblast.
There were 48 winners in the nomination Rating. Among the winners were Valentyna Stepova, Natalya Buchynska, singers; Olga Kuznetsova, an English language teacher who runs an orphanage which she founded at her own home, and which she runs as a big family.
The winners in the third nomination, Perspektyva (Prospects) were women who have distinguished themselves in notable achievements in various fields of activities.
The awards presentation ceremony was accompanied by a gala concert.
