This Palace was built for Prince Mikhail Vorontsov, who, in 1823, was appointed governor-general of the Crimea, Bessarabia, and the town of Odesa. It is an eclectic mixture of several architectural styles which has never failed to draw hordes of tourists.



The summits of the Carpathian Mountains do not scrape the skies but they offer splendors of mountainscapes that are never dull, changing with the seasons and making one feel that the mountains are living things, full of their own character.



The Uspensky Cathedral of the Pechersk Lavra Monastery in Kyiv was reconstructed not so long ago from the ruins into which it had been reduced in the WWII. Next to the Cathedral stands the Refectory Church which has survived revolutions and wars almost intact.
